Popheart Productions is an Athens, Georgia Recording Studio owned and operated by Athens native Suny Lyons (sue-nee-lie-uns), a music producer, recording engineer, and performer who has been making records in Athens and around the world for over 10 years.

Before forming Popheart Productions, Suny worked as a recording engineer for many years at Chase Park Transduction, The Bakery,

and previously operated independent recording studios for extended periods in home environments, both in Athens’ Boulevard Historic District and in Northeast Portland, Oregon. Suny has also set up and operated many recording environments, both in traditional studio spaces and in non-traditional field recording situations, throughout Java, Indonesia while recording the Javasounds Traditional Music Series.

Suny Lyons has also spent lots of time touring as a performer with Hope For Agoldensummer, Lovers, The Low Lows, Parker and Lily, Tin Cup Prophette, and Phosphorescent, and he is currently performing with the bands pacificUV, Electrophoria, and Hope For Agoldensummer.
