Athens Georgia Recording Studio Popheart Productions

Popheart Productions is a Recording Studio in Athens, Georgia owned and operated by music producer and recording engineer Suny Lyons. Popheart is a small, affordable, highly productive professional recording environment where sonic perfectionism, aesthetic balance, and immaculate production standards

are a necessity of life on a daily and ongoing basis. The studio is extremely quiet, each of our four rooms are very well isolated, and yet the sense of inherent coziness allows our space to feel more comfortable than the average professional recording space.

Popheart Productions records many genres of music, types of ensembles, and forms of composition. In addition, we are not limited to music recording at Popheart and are available for any form of commercial recording, such as sound effects production, voice-overs, or books on tape.

Our digital facility uses Pro Tools, Reason, and Waveburner for Recording, Editing, Mixing, and Mastering. We have a drum room, vocal room, amp room, and control room, plus a melange of instruments and gear like guitars, bass, banjo, vibraphone and glockenspiel, vintage organs, tube amps, percussion and drums, and an array of dynamic, condenser, ribbon, and tube microphones. Our studio uses Onyx inputs, Mytek outputs, Tannoy monitors, and Apple Computers.
